Trong quá trình học tập và làm việc với Oracle mình có tìm thấy 1 tài liệu rất hay về Oracle là quyể sách OCM Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Master Exam Guide
Mình đã đặt mua và sau khi đọc mình thấy đây là tài liệu rất hay, sách hướng dẫn rất chi tiết các đặc tính kĩ thuật + chi tiết cấu hình step by step hầu như toàn bộ các service thông dụng của Oracle như:

Hiện nay Oracle có các phiên bản cho DBMS được xài thông dụng nhất là 10G, 11G (G: Grid, nghiên về tính toán mạng lưới, tính HA và load balancing như RAC, Grid control, Data Guard), 12c (C: Cloud, hỗ trợ nhiều database trên 1 instance, peformance...)
Các version này mình thấy vẫn sử dụng chung 1 core, cách cấu hình hầu như không thay đổi, chỉ thêm các tính năng mới như Oracle 12C là pluggable databases (tương đương với cài multi instance trên 10G và 11G), PGA_AGGREGATE_LIMIT, Role CDB Administrator...

Theo em bác nên cài yum từ CD/DVD = lệnh:
yum install gcc gcc-c++ make automake autoconf
Còn muốn full thì nên chọn
yum groupinstall "Development Libraries"
yum groupinstall "Development Tools "
Cái vụ cài từ source .tar.gz cái gcc phải đọc thật kĩ cái INSTALL của nó rồi hãy cài

Có thể nói đây là cuốn sách khá sâu về Linux của Red Hat cho dân system, mình đã tìm các hãng khác như SuSE, Ubuntu, IBM... nhưng không có các course tương tự, sách này không chỉ tốt cho dân system engineer mà giúp ích cho dân programming nữa. Mình mong muốn có nó từ lâu rồi nhưng search trên mạng hoài thấy chỉ có bản RH442 version 4.1 năm 2005, khá cũ và không được đầy đủ nữa, các bạn có thể download về tham khảo ở link sau:

LDAP là 1 chủ đề dài dòng và khó cho ngay cả expert khi deploy trên thực tê. Lúa quốc tế khuyên bạn hãy từ bỏ cái tham vọng làm project này đi. Trên thực tế có rất nhiều hãng đã tạo ra các sản phẩm riêng của mình như AD của M$, e-diectory của novell, diectory server của red hat, Tivoli của IBM, oracle virtual diectory của Oracle... khi triển khai thường người ta chỉ chú trọng vào giải quyết 1 vấn đề nào đó thôi như lưu trữ datbase tập trung chẳng hạn, còn mấy cái vụ triển khai AD như 1 vài trung tâm tin học viết lab này nọ ấy chỉ là trên giấy thôi bạn

Có ai xài thằng cloudlinux chưa, bản này được chủ thớt của nó giới thiệu là chuyên dùng cho web hosting, mà thằng này tính phí mới ghê chứ, vãi!

Mình viết là Ubuntu chứ không phải Debian, Ubuntu là rebuild project từ Debian. hiện tại Ubuntu Desktop và Server chỉ có trên i386, x86-64, ngoài ra bản desktop hình như còn chạy được trên 1 số nền tảng mobile khác

À cũng nói thêm với bác Ar0 là "hoàn chỉnh" ở đây k có nghĩa là toàn bộ các phần mềm chứa trong OS đó phải do 1 nhóm người viết
linux kernel chuẩn được duy trì ở trang www.kernel.org, chức năng của bất cứ kernel nào trong OS cũng là tương tác trực tiếp với các phần cứng ( cpu, ram...), quản lí và lập lịch cho các tiến trình chạy trên cpu, cấp phát bộ nhớ cho các chương trình, tương tác với các thiết bị ngoại vi như HDD, CD-DVD, card màn hình....thông qua các driver của các thiết bị đó.
Như mình đã nói các distro như Red Hat, SuSE... dựa trên kernel chuẩn ở trên phát triển các chương trình để tối ưu trên từng kiến trúc phần cứng cụ thể như i386, x86-64, ppc, ia64... để làm được việc này các công ty đó phải có đội ngũ thật am hiểu về kernel chuẩn này cũng như phải hợp tác sâu rộng với các công ty phần cứng như Intel, AMD. motorola... để phát triển OS Linux của mình thật tốt.
Đó là lý do tại sao có nhiều distro linux như vậy, cũng như khi bạn download kernel chuẩn trên thì phải biên dịch lại nó trong 1 môi trường nào đó cho hợp lí dể sử dụng kernel chuẩn đó nếu k thì cứ sử dụng kernel có sẵn của distro đó
Còn FreeBSD thì bản thân nó đã có đầy đủ những cái này hết rồi... làm biếng gõ quá, tạm giải thích với bạn như vậy

Bác Ar0 nói chính xác đấy, Linux là dự án mã nguồn mở lớn nhất từ trước tới giờ của giới IT do Linus điều hành chính, hàng trăm cá nhân, công ty tham gia vào viết, cải tiến nó để ngày càng tốt hơn, FreeBSD cũng mã nguồn mở luôn bạn có điều nó ít người tham gia hơn
Linux có giấy phép GNU GPL, FreeBSD có BSD license cả 2 đều mã nguồn mở hết nên đều dùng các gói GNU utility trong sản phẩm của mình nhưng cách hoạt động của 2 dự án hơi khác nhau, cách tham gia vào nhóm develpoer FreeBSD hạn chế hơn linux.
chừng nào rảnh mình sẽ viết sâu hơn về vấn đề này, ai biết chỉ giáo trước, cảm ơn nhiều

Mỗi nhà phân phối linux (distribution, distro) như red hat, suse, ubuntu... phải tối ưu kernel theo cách riêng của mình trên từng kiến trúc phần cứng (vi xử lí) nhất định như anaconda của redhat, yast của suse.
Khi nói tới linux sẽ có 2 cách hiểu 1 là nó chỉ là kernel của 1 OS nào đó, 2 là nó là 1 số OS thường được biết đến như ubuntu, fedora, red hat, centos... gì đó. thông thường bà con VN hiểu theo cách 2
Bởi vậy phải gọi là GNU/Linux thì mới chính xác và công bằng
Còn FreeBSD là 1 hệ điều hành hoàn chỉnh, bạn không phải tạo ra 1 thứ gì đó như anconda, yast..., chỉ việc customize lại vài thứ thôi kể cả kernel
Trên thực tế FreeBSD và Linux đều có nhiều biến thể như mình đã nói
FreeBSD: OpenBSD, NetBSD, PC-BSD, FreeNAS, pfsense....
Linux: ipcop, endian, openfiler....
Nói chung là cho mục đích chuyên dụng nào đó.....

FreeBSD là hệ điều hành cao cấp là nền tảng cho các server và desktop hiện đại, nó chạy được trên nhiều bộ vi xử lí khác nhau như AMD64/i386/IA64/PC98/PowerPC/Sparc64 trong khi CentOS 5.5, Ubuntu và OpenSuSE chỉ có i386/x86_64 (các bản Red Hat, SuSE có hỗ trợ nhiều kiến trúc khác nhưng phải tốn phí). FreeBSD là 1 hệ điều hành hoàn chỉnh (không như Linux chỉ là sự chắp vá giữa Kernel và các GNU utility) và miễn phí hoàn toàn được 1 lượng lượng lớn các cá nhân giỏi và cộng đồng đóng góp phát triển. Nó có lịch sử trên 30 năm phát triển, cải tiến và tối ưu mã nguồn (Linux là 20 năm)
FreeBSD là platform cho nhiều thiết bị và sản phẩm của các hãng nổi tiếng như:
Apple (hệ điều hành Mac OS có nguồn gốc từ FreeBSD 4.4 )
Cisco (các IOS trong router Cisco)
Netapp
Juniper
...
Các thiết bị phần cứng trên thường sử dụng các OS kernel từ FreeBSD, đây là mảng lập trình nhúng (embed)
Các website lớn trên thế giới như Yahoo!, Apache, Netcraft... chạy hệ điều hành này
FreeBSD cũng có nhiều biến thể như OpenBSD, NetBSD, FreeNAS, pfSense... cho các mục đích chuyên biệt khác nhau, có 1 điều khá thú vị và có sự kết hợp giữa distro Debian Linux 6 sử dụng kernel của FreeBSD để tăng tính ổn định và tốc độ chạy...
Hiện nay ở Việt Nam số người sử dụng và nghiên cứu về FreeBSD khá ít, các trường đại học, trung tâm tin học hình như cũng chưa có khóa học nào về OS này
Qua 2 năm tìm hiểu và sử dụng mình thấy đây là hệ điều hành rất tốt, chạy ổn định, nhanh, tính performance vượt trội hơn nhiều mặt so với Linux. Về mặt cấu hình thì nó cũng tương tự như Linux tuy nhiên có 1 số chỗ khó hiểu và khó cấu hình hơn
Bộ lab video này là 1 trong những tài liệu mình hay tham khảo nhất vì nó hướng dẫn khá chi tiết cấu hình các dịch vụ mạng quan trọng thiết yếu. Bạn nào quan tâm đến vấn đề này có thể download về tham khảo. Hi vọng thời gian sắp tới cộng đồng FreeBSD sẽ phát triển lớn mạnh hơn

Mô hình quản lý tập trung AD của M$ được áp dụng đầu tiên trên Win NT sau đó được tiếp tục phát triển và cải tiến trên các ver 2K, 2K3, 2K8. Thật ra mô hình này dựa trên các chuẩn X.500 và LDAP về quản lý mạng ở mức logical thay cho cấp độ physical có nhiều hạn chế là SNMP (chứ k phải do bác Bill tự nghĩ ra đâu nha). Nó được Novell Netware triển khai đầu tiên trên HĐH Netware khá thành công đến nỗi M$ cũng bắt chước theo và làm cũng khá thành công lun
