Mình cũng đã có một thời gian nghĩ như bạn, (tất nhiên không giống hoàn toàn, mà chỉ là suy nghĩ rằng trở thành Hacker sẽ được nổi tiếng, .v.v. ). Nhưng sau khi đọc nhiều bài định hướng, và tự ngẫm nghĩ quá trình học về IT của mình, mình thấy rằng "Học học nữa, học mãi"

Nếu nói đúng ra là Kubuntu nền KDE 4.2.2 (đầy bug  ).
Trình quản lý gói tin khác biệt là cái nào đó bạn ? Bạn nói cho mình nghe với ? Mình thấy nó vẫn dùng APT, chẳng hiếu mới ở chỗ nào. Hay cái LPI là trình quản lý gói ? Mình thấy mấy cái file *.lpi của Fenix kiểu như cái Auto Extract của Winrar. Nhấn vô tự Extract vô /Applictions (sao không là /Program_Files cho giống Windows nhỉ ? )  Tất nhiên nó còn có vài chức năng khác, như tạo GUI,.v.v. nhưng mình chưa thấy có cái gì vượt trội cả.
Thậm chí ngay cả cái repo mà kêu rằng có Source code cũng không hề hoạt động mà chỉ là "cho nó có". Mình Update mà báo lỗi (add repo của ubuntu vô chạy được bình thường  ).

P/S : Hướng dẫn cài đặt bằng máy ảo VMware trên Windows 7 ?
Tại sao những dev lại không cài nó trực tiếp lên máy của mình nhỉ ?
Các bạn có thể nhìn thấy, lúc cái máy ảo là fenix, lúc sau lại là Red Hat Enterprise Linux, và mình cũng đang tự hỏi không hiểu VMware kia có phải là hàng bản quyền hay không ?

Bổ sung : Oh, các bạn Fenix sửa rất nhanh trang hướng dẫn cài đặt của các bạn. Lần trước, cách đây không lâu mình vào vẫn thấy hướng dẫn cài bằng máy ảo, ảo lớn vỡ tràn ra ngoài màn hình mà hôm nay ảnh đã được crop và chỉnh lại hết rồi !

Mình cũng chẳng phải người giỏi giang gì về ngoại ngữ, nhưng cũng như mấy anh đã nói. Ban đầu mình cũng rất sợ Tiếng Anh. Sau đó, mình cũng vẫn cứ đọc sách Tiếng Anh (nói thật là không hiểu hết những gì nó nói đâu toàn nhìn code + ví dụ nó đưa ra rồi luận xem ý định của nó nói gì mà thôi !).
Mình thấy càng thấy cài gì khó, càng sợ cái gì thì càng phải lao vào nó, tiếp xúc với nó, dần già cũng bớt sợ đi nhiều. Cũng như ban đầu, lên học ĐH, ai cũng lớ ngớ (vì toàn từ dưới quê lên) sống được khoảng 1 năm là khác hắn. Trưởng thành hơn nhiều cách đó 1 năm...
P/S : ý kiến của mình, cũng đang là người như bạn, nhưng nghĩ khác một chút !

Có nhìn thấy cái Entry đó đâu mà vào mục Edit.
Dùng nút Back của trình duyệt thì có nút Delete vào được trang Delete nhưng mà không xóa được.
Các bác cứ thử lập 1 cái rồi Test thử xem

Vừa chiều nay ngồi Viết Blog ở Opera thì có dùng một cái Tag comment để ẩn đoạn code HTML đi nhưng chẳng hiếu thế nào rồi nó không hoạt động và giờ hiện tượng thế này : http://my.opera.com/mrtux-hdb/blog/
Trong khi đáng nhẽ ra cái tiêu đề phải hiển thị nhưng đằng này lại không có, và các anh quan sát bên Sidebar đó, tất cả những mục thống kê và lịch đều bị mất !

Thậm chí, nếu Comment mà sử dụng Tag này tác dụng cũng hoàn toàn tương tự. Tất cả những Comment khác ở sau cũng không nhìn thấy được luôn

Lạ kì là ở chỗ, 1 cái Ext3 5GB thì em chạy lệnh cái là ghi được luôn, còn 2 cái phân vùng lớn phải Restart mới ăn thua.

Bài viết trong Link của anh em đã đọc ở lần Search Google trước đó rồi.
Nó có 1 hướng dẫn, em đã làm theo nhưng mặc dù đã thành công vẫn không dùng quyền User (có quyền sudo) để ghi vào. nhất thiết phải quyền root :
1. format your drive as ext3. use something like gparted.
2. (re) mount the drive by plugging/unplugging it
3. "sudo su -" so you are root
4. "cd /media/disk"
5. "chmod a+rwx ."
6. now every user will be able to read/write to the drive.

Em sử dụng Ubuntu 8.10, em mới mua 1 con HDD 500GB và đem về phân vùng.
Em phân vùng có dành ra khoảng gần 200Gb làm mấy phân vùng Linux với định dạng là Ext3
Hiện tại em đàng dùng Ubuntu trên HDD cũ (160GB) và khi vào Ubuntu Mount cái phân vùng Ext3 này thì chỉ có root mới có quyền ghi ở đó.
Em đã Search Google và kết quả họ bảo là chmod 777 cái thư mục sẽ Mount. Nhưng chmod 777 là nguy hiểm. Vậy làm thế nào để mình vẫn có quyền ghi vào cái phân vùng đó mà không cần chmod 777 ???

Không làm mất nhiều thời gian em xin vào thẳng vấn đề !
Em cài Ubuntu 8.10 lần này là lần thứ 2 và cả 2 lần đều xảy ra việc này. Em đã Search Google nhưng chưa tìm thấy kết quả nào phù hợp cả.
Hiện tượng như thế này : sau khi cài đặt Ubuntu 8.10 và cài các phần mềm xong xuôi thì khi nhấn nút Open trên ổ CD-ROM thì khay đĩa lòi ra rồi lại tự động thụt vào ngay. Sau đó nếu nhấn tiếp 1 lần nữa thì không bị thụt vào nữa. Nếu không nhấn ngay mà để một lúc lâu mới nhấn thì lại chui ra rồi tự động lại thụt vào.
Em nghĩ là do xung đột với cái gì đó đã thử rất nhiều mà không biết nó xung đột với cái gì đã tìm Remove rất nhiều gói rồi mà vẫn chưa thấy gì .
Mong mọi người giúp đỡ mình tìm ra nguyên nhân và cách giải quyết cho vấn đề này. Cám ơn mọi người nhiều !

Một cái tên chẳng liên quan gì đến CNTT cả ! Nói thật em vào trường này cũng do tình trạng học bi đát hồi lớp 12. Nhưng không ngờ nhờ sự cố gắng của bản thân đến lúc thi lại được điểm cao đủ đỗ vào BK (ngôi trường mà em hằng mơ ước !) bỏ qua những cảm giác nuối tiếc đó. Em bắt đầu vào cuộc sống SV mới. Em biết trường mình không mạnh về CNTT nhưng em tin bản thân mình mới là người thầy của bản thân mình. Mình quyết định học kì làm gì mà phải đạt kết quả như thế nào ! Cũng như những Newbie khác, em cũng có hàng đống sách cả TA lẫn TV nhưng đọc chẳng được là bao mặc dù biết trở thành một Hacker, một chuyên gia Security thật là khó. Quá dễ dãi với bản thân mà quên đi nhiệm vụ phải làm ! Em ghét bản thân mình đôi khi quá trì trệ. Em ghét cái cảm giác mình không biết một cái gì đó và mỗi lúc đó lại có một khao khát khám phá những cái mình chưa biết ! em biết "bể học vô biên" và những gì mình tiếp thu được còn quá nhỏ bé !!!
Mình gặp mấy bạn trong HVA cũng 90 như mình và cảm thấy có cái gì đó thấy hổ thẹn trong lòng ! Tại sao các bạn cũng 90 nhưng các bạn lại có nền tảng vững chắc hơn mình nhiều đén vậy !!! Tôi hôm qua cãi nhau với một đứa chắc cũng tầm tuổi mình cũng chỉ vì 2 chữ hacker trong địa chỉ email của mình ? Nhiều người thấy mình lấy Nick Yahoo có chữ hacker cứ nghĩ rằng mình là hacker ? Điều đó không phải 100% là không phải ! chữ hacker đó là mục tiêu phấn đấu của mình cho quãng đời sắp tới , cho tương lai của mình !!! Thật sự hổ thẹn mỗi khi nhìn thấy cái nick của mình !!! Nhưng cũng nhắc mình phải cố gắng thật nhiều để phấn đấu !!!
Cám ơn HVA thật nhiều ! Thực sự em không hay nên HVA vì một phần là trình độ chưa đủ một phần vì cũng vì hình như việc học nó khỏa lấp, hay tâm lý nghỉ nghơi sau kì thi ĐH. Và ... đúng là không tiến thì chỉ có lùi.

Một định hướng đứng đắn có lẽ chỉ bản thân mình mới quyết định được vì chỉ mình mới có thể biết mình rõ nhất và biết sở trường sở đoản của mình mà lựa chọn. Con người không thể biết hết nhưng phải biết đủ ?!

Em cũng đang ở tuổi 18 cũng định hướng mình theo dòng *nix. Cũng đang định đặt câu hỏi như bạn St Konqueror.
Đúng là em có suy nghĩ hơi sai vì vụ Linux thì nhất thiết phải là Linux thật ! (mê Linux quá mà ) giờ thì nghe anh quanta nói sáng mắt ra trông thấy.
Đang học ở một trường không được danh tiếng về CNTT lắm ! Nhưng tự nhận thấy bản thân mình không phải không có năng lực nên phải thật cố gắng !

Từ trước đến nay em vẫn thường nói với bọn bạn "đó là những thứ cơ bản" nhưng thực sự em cũng chưa bao giờ định nghĩa được "cơ bản" là gì !
Những câu chuyện của anh cũng như bài viết "Những cuộc đối thoại với Rockie" đã giúp em trưởng thành rất nhiều !
Muốn gọi thế nào là "cơ bản" thì phải định nghĩa xem thế nào là "chuẩn" của mức "cơ bản" và ... mỗi Level khác nhau thì có mức cơ bản khác nhau đúng không ạ !

Thấy các bác thảo luận NimbleX và Slackware nhưng cuối cùng vẫn chưa đi vào chủ đề chính !
Xài Ubuntu không lâu mới có 3 tháng !
Nhưng cái mà mình thu nhận được trong 3 tháng ấy là : Đã là Linux thì Distro nào cũng có phần tương tự nhau nhất là hệ thống lệnh.Và nói chung khi đã có quyết tâm dùng Linux thì đừng quá quan trọng là bạn sẽ dùng Distro nào mà hãy nhớ rằng "Để đi được xe đạp thì bạn phải biết dắt xe đã !".
Trước khi dùng Linux mình cũng rất đắn đo như nhiều Newbie khác ! Rằng sẽ chọn Distro nào ! Nghe mấy anh HVA bàn nhau về Linux mãi rồi ! Nào là Ubuntu nhiều người dùng,dễ dàng cài phần mềm,nhẹ và đẹp.Rồi Fedora là con của RedHat thân thiện dễ dùng.và cả Slackware ổn định nhiều dân Hacker dùng !!!
Đắn đo mãi thì cuối cùng chọn Ubuntu vì nó dễ kiếm đĩa cài nhất ! Tuy không có internet thì hơi vất vả nhưng không sao cũng vẫn có cách khắc phục.Dùng được một thời gian sử dụng Synatic Package Manager của nó kết hợp với dòng lệnh apt đã gần như thuần thục.Một ngày nọ có ý chuyển sang bên Slackware.
Nhưng với trình độ hiểu biết Linux vẫn còn hạn chế mặc dù chạy Ubuntu đã thành thạo nhưng hệ thống lệnh,tệp tin,và cách thức hệ thống hoạt động vẫn chưa lắm rõ trong khi Slackware là Distro thuần Linux nên cài đi cài lại nhiều lần vẫn có lỗi.Mặc dù là một người cũng đã quyết tâm chia tay M$ để đến với Linux nhưng Slackware hay Debian vẫn là quá sức đối với người mới dùng.
Mình thấy nếu mới sử dụng Linux thì tốt nhất là xài Ubuntu hoặc OpenSuSE,Fedora hay Mandriva vì theo mình cảm nhận thì chúng có giao diện đẹp mắt,dễ dùng vì có nhiều công cụ GUI rất tốt cho người mới dùng.
Khi đã thành thạo thì nên tìm hiểu thêm về hệ thống Linux,khi nào cảm thấy kinh nghiệm và kỹ năng đã đủ thì mới sang Slack.
Hãy đi từng bước để tới thành công !!!
