Position: Data Center Engineer

The Data Center Engineer plays a key role in maintaining a high availability service and supporting key objectives related to the data center. Working schedule: 8-hour shifts with 2 working days/2 vacation days.

Main responsibilities

- Monitor remstats/zabbix and inform the remote team about problems occured;

- Replace faulted HDDs and other components;

- Connect/Disconnect cables according to remote team's instructions;

- Install new hardware into racks ind DC, help Gensys;

- Operational contacts and functions with hardware vendors/suppliers and data centers;

- (maybe) do initial OS install to new servers.

Requirements

- Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux OS

- Basic knowledge of networking & network devices (router, switch)

- Good knowledge of PC\x86 hardware, HP Server hardware & DC’s rack equipment

- Hand-on experience in networking (or DC) cabling.

- Good written English/ Good oral English will be a great advantage.

- Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision

- Able to work closely with peers and remote teams on projects
