Errors were encountered while processing:
ganglia-monitor
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Khi mình install ganglia-monitor trên ubuntu 11.10 thì gặp lỗi này.Mình đã tìm và thử nhiều cách nhưng không fix được.Không biết mọi người đã ai gặp và xử lý được lỗi này chưa giúp mình chút.Cảm ơn nhiều.

Mình cũng đã tìm hiểu về hỗi này trên 1 số diễn đàn.Theo mọi người nói thì nó xảy ra do " phân vùng bị lỗi khiến dữ liệu không ổn đinh " Mình đã remove, install, upgrade, dist-upgrade nhưng không được.Del một số file (Theo hướng dẫn).Update lại apt-get sau đó chạy apt-get -f install.Mình thử nâng cấp lên bản 12.04 LTS nhưng nó vẫn thống báo lỗi như thế.

Mình thử update version của Ubuntu thì xuất hiện như sau :

Mình đã xoá những file /var/lib/dpkg/info/
ganglia-monitor.postinst
ganglia-monitor.postrm
ganglia-monitor.prerm
mình cũng thấy mơ hồ nên không biết xử lý thế nào

# find /var/lib/dpkg/info/ -name '*ganglia-monitor*'
# find /var/cache/apt/archives/ -name '*ganglia-monitor*'

còn cái nào trong đó thì xoá nốt (-delete), rồi chạy:

# apt-get clean all
# apt-get -f remove ganglia-monitor
# apt-get -f install ganglia-monitor

Theo mình là do quá trình cài đặt chưa xong và/hoặc package chưa được gỡ bỏ hoàn toàn gây ra.

Cách Fix lỗi E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) khi install ganglia-monitor and gmetad on ubuntu ...

>sudo adduser --system --ingroup ganglia --home /var/lib/ganglia ganglia
>sudo apt-add-repository ppa:mark-mims/ppa
>sudo apt-get update
>sudo apt-get install ganglia-webfrontend=3.1.7-2ubuntu4
>sudo apt-get install gmetad=3.1.7-2ubuntu4
>sudo apt-get install ganglia-monitor=3.1.7-2ubuntu4
