Hi,
I was able to access a PC which is connected to my current laptop on LAN in "full mode", it means I could go to C:\ disk there by entering \\192.168.1.3\C$
But some day ago, I reinstalled that PC and now can't access it's disk C:\ like that. When I do so, a dialog appears to ask password for a fixed user: Guest. (the user box is disable, can't change). So no password is accepted.
And then I login to that PC, run command gpedit.msc, [Computer Configuration] -> [Windows Settings] -> [Security Settings] -> [Local Policies] -> [Security Options], edit item "Network access: Sharing and security model for local accounts" to "Classic - local users authenticate as themselves". This time, a dialog with user name and password editable. But no matches at all.
What's wrong with that sharing? Please tell me how to access that PC like before?
Thanks in advance! |

Hi Luanban
You can use the following methods:
1. Disable Firewalls
2. Windows XP doesn't permit remote users to connect from the network without a password. To allow access without a password:
a. Control Panel => Performance and Maintenance => Administrative Tools => Local Security Policy.
b. Expand Local Policies => Security options.
c. Double-click Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console login only, which is enabled by default. Disable this option
3.

==>Ok
Hope that helps....
