Mình đang cài Postfix + Dovecot + Squirrel mail....
Hiện giờ mình đã cấu hình và cài đặt thành công Postfix và đã gửi mai trong nội bộ và các Domain khác như yahoo, gmail.
Nhưng sáng hôm nay khi mình log vào máy mình để thử test mail trên Squirrel mail, vô tình mình bị lỗi này:

ERROR : Could not complete request.
Query: LSUB "" "*"
Reason Given: Permission denied

Bạn nào biết, xin chỉ giúp

Lỗi ở trên xuất hiên trong Web mail anh conmale ơi.
Quá trình em test như sau:
Đầu tiên em coi dịch vụ trên Server đã mở port chưa.
Và em telnet vào từng Port (25,110,143) của Server để đảm bảo đường đi đến server ổn định (vì em remote vào Server để config).
Dùng OU gửi mail -> OK
Log in vào Mail bằng Web -> wá trình xác thực User name + Passwd -> OK
Nhưng khi log in vào giao diện web để gửi mail thử...-> xuất hiện lỗi trên.

Dovecot version? Squirrel mail version?

Dovecot logs?

Squirrel mail logs?

PS: nên làm quen với việc cung cấp đầy đủ thông tin khi gặp trở ngại kỹ thuật. Nếu không, không bao giờ có câu trả lời thỏa đáng.

Em cài trên Fedora Core 4. Gói postfix + squirrelmail + dovecot, cài kèm theo đĩa....
Server là con Dell 1650, và 1 địa chỉ IP thực.
Dovecot version 0.99, Squirrelmail version là 1.4.4.2.
Log của Dovecot và Squirrel mail ko tìm thấy.....
Còn đây là 3 dòng đầu trong /var/log/maillog

Ở đây là trong /var/log/message

Nov 17 10:00:01 mail crond(pam_unix)[25160]: session opened for user root by (uid=0)
Nov 17 10:00:01 mail crond(pam_unix)[25159]: session closed for user root
Nov 17 10:00:02 mail crond(pam_unix)[25160]: session closed for user root
Nov 17 10:01:01 mail crond(pam_unix)[25197]: session opened for user root by (uid=0)
Nov 17 10:01:02 mail crond(pam_unix)[25197]: session closed for user root

Nhưng em nghĩ đoạn này là do em log vào server bằng user root để config..
Đây là 2 fần log trong /var/log, em đã lục tất cả trong /var/log vẫn ko tìm thấy cái log của Dovecot và Squirrelmail như anh conmale nói.
Lỗi trên vẫn xuất hiên khi em dùng duyệt mail bằng WEB.

ERROR : Could not complete request.
Query: LSUB "" "*"
Reason Given: Permission denied

Tất cả những lỗi trên vẫn xãy ra khi em RESTART lại 3 dịch vụ trên.
Đây là những thông tin em biết, ko biết có thiếu gì ko???
Nếu thiếu, em sẽ cung cấp thêm thông tin.

Upgrade dovecot lên phiên bản mới nhất. Dovecot 0.99 có bug nên bị lỗi ở trên.

Hi anh, làm sao để cho root có thể đăng nhập qua Squirrelmai

Mặc định khi root đăng nhập thì bị drop

Không thể sử dụng root để đăng nhập vào webmail như Squirrel mail
